9 Ways You Are Aging Your Skin-Platinum Deluxe Cosmetics

It's true: aging is a natural process. But it doesn't have to look so natural! Aging skin is often associated with wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging but there are many things you can do to slow down the process--and keep your skin looking young for longer.

The foods you eat.

  • Eat a healthy diet. Avoid processed foods, sugary foods, trans fats and alcohol.

  • Avoid smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco.

  • Quit drugs such as cocaine and heroin as well as drinking alcohol (if you do drink).

You are skipping your moisturizer.

Moisturizers are important for your skin. They help to keep it hydrated and look young, making you look more youthful and radiant.

Moisturizers can also help prevent wrinkles by moisturizing the surface of your skin, making it look smoother. In addition to helping with dryness and flaking, a good moisturizer will also protect against UV damage from sunlight or pollution when out in the sun or windy weather conditions such as skiing or sailing.

Not using SPF lotion or cream daily.

  • Not applying sunscreen to all exposed skin areas 30 minutes before going out in the sun, reapplying every 2 hours while in the sun and again at least every two hours after you’ve been out of doors.

Not protecting your skin from the elements.

Sun exposure is one of the biggest factors in aging skin. It can cause wrinkles, age spots, and even cancer—so you need to make sure that you're taking good care of yourself! The best way to do this is by wearing a sunscreen whenever possible and limiting sun exposure (especially between 10 AM and 4 PM). In addition, it's important not just on days when UV rays are strong but also during overcast or rainy weather. This will help protect against any damage done by UV rays while helping prevent dryness and irritation caused by windburns or chemical burns on exposed areas like hands or faces!

Clenching or grinding your teeth.

Clenching or grinding your teeth can cause damage to the gums, teeth, jaw bone and cheekbones. It also can lead to injury in other areas of your face:

  • The neck – When you clench your jaws tightly together, it puts pressure on the muscles that control movement of your head (the cervical spine). This can lead to headaches or neck pain if left untreated for too long.

  • The face – If you overdo it with clenching or grinding which causes problems with either one or both sides of this area then it could result in skin discoloration as well as wrinkles around eyes and mouth area due to repetitive stress being applied over time due

Smoking and other tobacco use.

Smoking and other tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death in the United States. The tobacco industry spends billions annually to maintain its reputation as a safe product, but it's not true: smoking can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin discoloration. It also increases your risk for developing cancer, heart disease and other diseases.

Drinking too much alcohol (above 2 drinks a day).

  • Smoking cigarettes.

  • Taking birth control pills for more than 10 years.

Frowning, squinting, and constant eye rubbing.

One of the most common signs of aging is frowning, squinting, and constant eye rubbing. These habits can cause wrinkles to form around your eyes—and not just on the surface. The muscles that control your face are actually connected to other parts of your body’s nervous system through small nerves called cranial nerve fibers (CNFs). When you frown or squint, it sends messages to these CNFs telling them to tighten up or relax as needed for facial expressions such as smiling or crying. These signals also affect how our eyelids react when we blink and close them tightly against dryness—which leads us into another area where keeping ourselves hydrated is key: Our eyes need moisture in order for us see clearly; if they become too dry over time (or if we're constantly rubbing them), then vision will suffer because tears aren't produced properly anymore due to lack of lubrication between lids and cornea as well as inflammation caused by repeated irritation at night time when we sleep with dry eyes open wide awake all night long!

Sleeping on your stomach or side with your face smashed into the pillow.

  • Sleep on your back or side with your face smashed into the pillow.

  • Don't sleep with your face mashed up against a phone or tablet, as this can cause streaks and dullness around the eyes.

  • It's also important to avoid sleeping with a pillow between you and the mattress, as this may cause wrinkles around the eyes and neck area.
