Inside look into my skincare routine

Inside look into my skincare routine

When I was a kid, my mom used to make me wash my face every night. She would ask me if I had washed it and if not she would send me back to the bathroom. Now that I am older, I try to make sure that I am still taking care of my skin. Here is a list of things that I do every day that help keep my skin healthy:

I wash my face twice a day.

I'm very careful about what I put on my face. I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser to wash my face twice a day, in the morning and before bedtime.

I use the Clarisonic Mia 1 for one minute in the morning and one minute at night, with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.

I don't like to wear makeup.

I don't like to wear makeup. I think it feels like a mask and I prefer to let my skin breathe. My skincare routine is all about making sure that when I look in the mirror, I see as natural a reflection as possible.

When I was younger, my mom would always tell me not to worry about how bad my skin looked because "it would get better when we got older." For some reason though, she never told me what was going on under the surface of my face--that's where things really mattered!

I am very sensitive to smells.

I'm very sensitive to smells. I can't stand the smell of certain foods, perfumes and cleaning products. If a perfume has a strong scent, I'll usually avoid it at all costs. The same goes for certain makeup brands: if they smell too strong or artificial, I won't buy anything from them again.

I also don't like being exposed to scents in general - whether they're coming from someone else or something that's been around me for awhile (like my living room). It makes me feel sick sometimes! It sounds weird but it's true - just ask anyone who knows me well enough :)

My favorite skincare product is the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips.

  • I use a mask once a week to deep clean my pores and get rid of any dead skin that may be hanging around on my face, which can make it look dull and oily.

  • I like to use a cleanser twice a day--in the morning after I wake up and at night before bedtime so that all of the dirt from throughout the day gets removed before going to sleep so it doesn't clog up your pores as much while you sleep (which causes breakouts).

  • Next comes toner! You should always apply this after cleansing with your face towel or cotton pad because it will help remove excess dirt or makeup left behind after washing off everything else first with warm water only (if possible). This step helps prevent breakouts too by removing bacteria from around those pesky blackheads lurking inside our noses too close together where they shouldn't really be living anyways;)

5 . Finally comes moisturizer which is key since most people don't drink enough water throughout their day which means there isn't enough moisture coming back into our bodies through good hydration habits alone."

I use the Clarisonic Mia 1 for one minute in the morning and one minute at night, with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. The Mia is gentle on sensitive skin and it's good for all skin types; it helps to remove makeup, dirt and oil so you don't have to use harsh products that can irritate your skin. I love it!

The Clarisonic cleanses 6x better than hands alone because of its patented sonic technology which helps remove dirt from pores without damaging them like other products do (i.e., microdermabrasion).

In the morning, I put on sunscreen (Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Lotion Sunscreen).

In the morning, I put on sunscreen (Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Lotion Sunscreen). This is a very important step to take before leaving the house. If you are going to be outside for more than an hour, it is crucial to apply sunscreen generously.

I apply it to my face, neck and ears; hands and arms; legs and feet.

It's important to take care of your skin.

Taking care of your skin is important. We all know that, but it's easy to forget when you're young and don't think about the future very much. The best thing you can do for yourself is make sure that your skin stays healthy and looks good for as long as possible. That means taking care of it now, not just later on in life when things start showing signs of wear and tear--and trust me: they will! There are plenty of ways to keep up with this routine every day (or at least most days).

Here are some tips on how I keep my own routine going:

I hope that this blog post has given you a little insight into my skincare routine. I know it can be overwhelming, but the key is just to find what works best for your skin type and start there! It took me years of trial and error before I figured out what worked best for me so don't give up if something doesn't seem right at first glance. If there are any products or tips that have worked well for you please share them below in the comments section :)
