The same fuss-free, streamlined approach can be said for Chung's new collaboration with Code8, All-Day Soirée, £95, a lipstick trio made up of hues the designer and TV personality most often reaches for. Affogato, a matte pink-beige nude is much like her own lips but enhanced and reminiscent of the on-trend 90s supermodel era that shows no sign of waning, while Peach Dream is the type of warm pink Chung used to try and create on the  back of her hand right before going on TV, she tells me.

It's Pillar Box, a vibrant, primary red, that is the real multi-tasker, "you can wear it during the day or wear it to look more vampy at night. I use it to cover up hangovers in the early morning," says Chung. She's also keen to send one to red-lip loving Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), who this week won her re-election bid for a seat in the US Congress.

While she claims to stay in her lane when it comes to make-up, hence this perfectly curated lip wardrobe, Chung draws her beauty inspiration from unexpected places. "A lot of my beauty icons are men like Mick Jagger in performance who wears eyeliner and always has that incredible rosy massive mouth, so although I might look like I'm trying to doll myself up like Isabella Rossellini, most of the time I'm trying to look like a dude," she says.
