How to keep your skin hydrated on a flight.

How to keep your skin hydrated on a flight.

It's no secret that flights are dry. Not only does the air pressure change, but you're also exposed to less water than you would be at home or in an office. That's why it's so important to keep your skin hydrated on a flight--even though it can be difficult! I've compiled some tips for keeping your skin from drying out while traveling:

Drink plenty of water.

  • Drink plenty of water before you board.

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the flight.

  • Drink enough water after landing to wash away any grime that may have accumulated while flying, then continue drinking until it's time to get off the plane again; this will help prevent dehydration and make sure your body is well-hydrated when you are able to leave again (and resume normal activities).

Avoid touching your face.

You should avoid touching your face, as this can lead to dry patches and flaking. Don't rub your eyes or pick at any of the other parts of your body that you can touch on a flight: don't scratch, don't pick nose hairs, etc.

  • Don't apply lotion to your face (or any other part of your body). It's best not to put anything on before heading into the air; if you do want some moisturizer while traveling, try applying it directly after landing because hot temperatures will melt any solid lotions—and then there's always TSA security checkpoints!

Remove your makeup.

You should remove your makeup before you board the plane. If you’re traveling with a lot of makeup on, there are some easy ways to get rid of it quickly and easily:

  • Use a makeup wipe. Makeup wipes are designed to remove all traces of makeup so that your skin feels fresh and clean when you get off the plane. They also work great for removing mascara!

  • Don’t use cotton swabs or tissue paper—they will leave residue on skin.

Bring a sheet mask with you.

Sheet masks are a great way to hydrate your skin on a flight. They're easy to pack, easy to use and clean up after, and you can even reuse them if you want.

If you have time before your flight leaves or is delayed by more than an hour, research which sheet masks work best with your skin type before packing them in your carry-on bag. Some people prefer natural ingredients like aloe vera gel or tea tree oil while others prefer more luxurious versions made with gold leaf or tiger's eye powder (yes).

Use a rich moisturizer.

Moisturizers are an important part of keeping your skin hydrated on a flight. They can help treat dry, oily or acne-prone skin, and they're also used to keep your face looking good at all times.

If you have dry skin, use a rich cream or lotion (or even just water) before applying makeup so that it doesn't look dry when you put on the eye shadow and blush later on. If you have oily skin—or if someone else's makeup starts running into their eyes—use an oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher in order to prevent any extra shine from showing through during the flight (and make sure not to get too close with this person!). Oily skin tends to get greasy fast when exposed to air for extended periods of time; so make sure not only that everyone around has good hygiene habits but also that they don't touch anyone else's face! And finally—if someone gets acne breakouts while traveling abroad then try using benzoyl peroxide tablets instead: these will help reduce inflammation while reducing redness/flushing which could cause embarrassment among fellow passengers during long flights (and avoid worrying about how much money might be wasted).

Bring lip balm and hand cream with you.

Lips and hands are the two most exposed parts of your body to the elements. Here's how to keep them moisturized on a plane:

  • Bring lip balm with you. Lip balm is an excellent hydrator, so if you're going to be standing in line at security or waiting for an upgrade, apply some (and maybe some hand cream too). It will also help protect against dryness when your lips are already chapped from climate change outside of the airport terminal.

  • Bring hand cream with you as well! If there's one thing that can ruin any trip faster than anything else, it's dry skin—and who wants their hands looking like leather? A little bit of petroleum jelly goes a long way here—just remember not to overdo it because then they might start sweating uncontrollably all over again while trying to get through security lines and check-in desks without getting robbed by muggers or stabbed by terrorists who hate America even though we built them this great country where everyone enjoys freedoms like never before seen anywhere else in history except maybe communist countries where everyone has equal rights but still has nothing better than communism because those places aren't really "free" anymore since nobody likes living under communism except maybe communists themselves who love socialism but not necessarily capitalism because capitalism sounds pretty good compared with communism which sounds awful

You can keep your skin hydrated on a flight

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Avoid touching your face, as this can cause dryness and irritation.

  • Remove makeup before you get on the plane. It's best to do this before boarding rather than when you're actually in flight, because if something happens and there are problems with the plane (for example, it gets delayed), then removing all of your makeup will make it easier for people around you to see what's wrong with the plane's air conditioning system and get help fixing it without having to worry about getting poked by mascara clumps or foundation streaks everywhere!

  • Bring a sheet mask with you—they're easy to use and soothing! Plus they're great for tired eyes after spending hours staring at a computer screen while working remotely from home during these long winter months when no one else wants anything except hot soup but nobody has any leftovers because they ate all of their food yesterday afternoon so now we all have cold hands instead...
