Pre de Provence

Pre de Provence is a French company that has been making skincare products since 1933. The family business was started by a woman named Madeleine D'Ornano, who wanted to create natural, sustainable products for her family's skin. She moved from France to America after World War II and opened up an apothecary shop in New York City. Then she moved back to France with her husband and children where they continued making their handmade soaps and lotions in Provence (hence the name).

Today Pre de Provence still makes all of their products by hand using traditional methods like crocheting silk flowers onto their face creams or pressing rose petals into beeswax candles--and it shows! Their line includes everything from lip balms made with organic ingredients such as cocoa butter or shea butter; body butters made with olive oil; moisturizers infused with aloe vera juice; eye gels containing cucumber extract & vitamin E; foot creams infused with lavender essential oils...you get the idea!

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Skincare Satsuma Cleanser ($34, sephora.com) and Orange Delight Cream ($55, sephora.com) are two of my favorites from the brand. As someone who has tried everything under the sun when it comes to skincare, I can say this is a great choice for dry skin that's in need of some hydration (but not oily). The brand itself is also committed to sustainability and fair trade practices. Another great option for dry skin, the Bio-Oil Body Serum ($23 for 4 fl oz, amazon.com) is non-greasy and fast absorbing so your skin won't look shiny after applying it!
